Thoughts and Meditations

Thoughts become compulsive reactions against your illusions. The mental noise keeps you from finding the stillness of presence. Nonstop thinking is the suffering we can all overcome. If you can't find the stillness in life, it is because your mind is using you. You are not your mind. You are not the one thinking. Your mind is only a small aspect of a vast intelligence.

All things that truly matter are beyond the mind. When you realize that you are the consciousness that observes, you awaken to beauty, joy, creativity, inner peace, and love. When this higher level of consciousness is accessed, you can watch the thinker and know the freedom from the mind. The mind can die. You will not. Random thoughts disturb you. They are distractions of your environment. Thoughts arise when the mind resists life. Thought is an unconscious reaction to life.

Energy can follow thought. It is better to have energy follow your intention. Attention is intentional awareness. The process of meditation is to expand awareness and direct attention. Awareness is how the body experiences the energy of consciousness. Insight is the willing of attention to connect with your higher self.

There are two common processes to meditation. One is to focus attention on exactly what you want to see. The other is to let go of all arising thoughts and resistance.

Meditation is the action of inaction. At first, it is a ceremony or ritual. Soon it can become awakening and awareness. Consciousness is immortal. The mind holds your personal beliefs, history and identity. Be free and float effortlessly into eternity.

"The human condition is lost in thought." -- Eckhart Tolle
